1 John 3:1 says, "See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are." As children of God, Christians belong to the family of God. All who confess Christ are members of this family.
Yet, God has gathered his children into local congregations where we may assist others and be assisted by others in our lives of service to God. As such, our local congregation functions like a smaller family which is part of a larger, world-wide family of God.
The "MOPC family" consists of roughly 65 different households, making our membership roughly 300 people. We are blessed with many children in our "family."
We gather together each Lord's Day to worship God together. The Lord's Day is a full day for us and is the highlight of our week both as individuals and as a church. In addition to our worship, we enjoy fellowship with one another and engage in various ministries of service to our community.
During the week, the members of MOPC continue to fellowship and serve one another, the community and even the world. Depending on the time of year, various smaller groups within the congregation gather for a variety of Bible studies or informal times of fellowship.
